CONTACT ME

Communication is an vital part of your child's educational experience. For the duration of the year, providing a safe environment for your child to grow in self-advocacy is one of my top priorities.

Encourage your child to communicate directly with the teacher. As a parent of four children of my own, I understand that this can be a scary endeavor for our young ones, but it is so important that our children be able to advocate for themselves as they continue to grow in education and we prepare them for the outside world. That doesn't mean I don't want to hear from you, the parent. Parent communication is always welcome ~ but before you do... encourage your child to approach me directly with their questions and concerns.

Now, that being said ~ if the issue is related to your personal concerns regarding your child's progress, etc. in my class, then of course contact me directly... Rest assured that I am constantly monitoring student growth and, if I were concerned about your child's progress, I would be the first one to call you!

The best way to reach me is by email. Please email me at eida.gullick@sarasotacountyschools.net and allow me 24 - 48 hours to respond. If you don't hear from me, email me a second time. It is possible that the first email was missed, filtered out to a spam account by district, or simply not received. I receive over 100 emails daily - internal and external. Sometimes I just can't get to them all. I respectfully request your patience. If you don't hear from me after the second email, then please do call me. Contact the Front Office at (941) 486-2001 and leave a message for me. The Front Office staff will put it in my mailbox. Mail is retrieved in the morning, so you will get a call the same or next day.
